New cooker and hood in and working

We had been looking to get a new cooker and hood for a while. The old cooker was here when we moved in and ran off of bottled gas.
The oven on the old one was a disaster with no discerable difference in heat no matter where we turned the dial and with long warm up times, some interesting meals were produced as a result.
The replacement we wanted was electric, had two ovens and five induction zones. All that power meant that a new cooker circuit had to be run, which involved digging a trench around the house and burying an armoured electric cable. This slowed it down significantly, but eventually I ran out of excuses, dug the trench and ran the cable. Mark and his guys from J.M. Electrical did a great job on bringing it into the house both ends and it was finally fired into life.
Keren is over the moon with it, now jsut needs a new set of pans to work on the new induction top 🙂
